Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a Care Assistant to deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to the care team, ensuring continuity of services for residents.

You will assist with personal care, support residents with dignity and respect, recognise risks, and work within safe procedures. Induction and training are provided; a DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards residents and other people in the home.
• Be an efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions from other team members.
• Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to the care team to ensure continuity of services for residents.
• Assist residents in personal hygiene care ensuring independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
• Recognise and understand clinical risk areas in residents and escalate identified risks in a timely manner.
• Act courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
• Practice safe systems of work across the range of tasks.
