Job summary

M&D Care Limited in Aberdare is hiring a Care Assistant to join our specialist residential service, supporting adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs, and physical disabilities. No experience required; full training provided.

You’ll assist with daily living, promote independence and wellbeing, and work on a rota including early mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends. Driver preferred.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for providing excellent care.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Must be aged 18 or over and a driver.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to individuals with mental health needs and learning disabilities.
• Assist with daily living tasks including personal care, meal preparation, medication management, and shopping.
• Promote independence, dignity, and well-being through engaging and meaningful activities.
• Work autonomously while maintaining the safety and respect of those you support.
• Comply with regulatory standards set by Social Care Wales and Care Inspectorate Wales.
• Work flexibly on a rota basis, including early mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends.
