Supply Desk Ltd in the Lymington area is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to support students with autism and ADHD in a specialist school. This full-time role focuses on providing structured, compassionate care to help pupils thrive in daily routines and learning activities.

You will work closely with teaching staff and therapists, manage mood and behavior, assist with transport and daily tasks, and maintain accurate records. A valid DBS update is required or supported by the employer.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a care assistant or similar role.
• Understanding of autism, ADHD and related sensory needs.
• Patient, empathetic and supportive approach to working with students.
• Strong communication skills with students, staff and parents.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and confidentiality practices.
• Enhanced DBS check (assistance available if required).

Responsabilités

• Provide personalised care for students with autism and related needs.
• Support daily routines, homework, transport to activities and bed wakes.
• Assist students in engaging with educational and social activities.
• Create a safe, comfortable environment tailored to sensory and emotional needs.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and therapists on care plans.
• Maintain accurate records and report concerns to staff.
