Job summary

Supply Desk Ltd is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to join a specialist education facility near Lymington. This full-time role supports students aged 11–19 with autism and ADHD, helping them thrive in a structured, nurturing environment.

You will work with teachers and therapists to implement tailored care plans, assist with daily routines and activities, and maintain accurate records. A DBS check and safeguarding commitment are required; driving is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a care assistant or similar role, preferably within an educational or healthcare setting.
• Understanding of autism, ADHD and associated sensory and behavioural needs.
• A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach to working with students.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and confidentiality practices.
• An enhanced DBS check (we can assist with this process if required).

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised care for students with Autism and related needs.
• Support students with daily routines, including homework, transporting to activities, and wake/sleep routines.
• Assist students in engaging with educational and social activities.
• Ensure a safe environment tailored to sensory and emotional needs.
• Work with teaching staff and therapists to implement individualized learning and care plans.
• Maintain accurate records and report concerns to staff.
