Job summary

Qualifications

  • Experience with supporting pupils with additional needs (Autism, ADHD) or willingness to develop knowledge.
  • Caring, patient and approachable disposition.
  • Calm, consistent and confident in managing challenging situations.
  • Strong communication and teamwork with teachers and SENCOs.
  • Reliable, flexible and committed to helping pupils reach their potential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils.
  • Support children with Autism, ADHD and other needs.
  • Assist pupils with learning and development across the school day.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils.
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour and social development.
  • Help pupils develop confidence, independence and communication skills.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and the school team.
  • Adapt approach to meet individual pupil needs.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
