Job summary

McCarthy & Stone are recruiting a Care Assistant to join the team at Kingfisher Court, Taunton, Somerset. You will provide the highest quality care to residents, including housekeeping and supporting activities that promote wellbeing.

You will ideally have a QCF Health and Social Care Level 2 or relevant experience, and a warm, team-focused approach. The role is based on site with competitive benefits and a clear commitment to wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Warm, friendly individual with experience in care or support, and a passion for wellbeing of older people.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to work in the Health and Social care sector; relevant qualifications or experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to residents and support with daily living activities.
• Assist with housekeeping and apartment cleans across the estate.
• Encourage participation in activities to promote wellbeing and social engagement.
• Help residents book appointments and arrange transport; escort on visits when needed.
• Support shopping and other errands to enable residents to live independently.
