Job summary

Riverside is hiring a Care Assistant at Willow Brook, Washington, Sunderland. The role involves assisting residents with personal care and supporting daily living activities in line with individual care plans.

You will work in a team across a 7-day rota, with shifts from early to late, including alternate weekends, to provide compassionate, respectful care and maintain residents’ comfort and dignity.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-focused, residential environment delivering personal care.
• Awareness of housing and Health and Safety legislation and regulation (National Care Standards).
• Flexibility to work hours, including weekends and lone working.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to residents in line with individual care plans.
• Maintain residents’ dignity, comfort and safety during daily tasks.
• Recognise signs of distress and report concerns to the manager with accurate records.
• Support with daily living activities and medication administration as required.
• Document care and medication details accurately and timely.
