Job summary

South Lodge Care Home in Leicester is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Care Assistant to join Avery Healthcare Group. You will deliver high standards of personal care to residents and contribute to a supportive care team in a luxury elderly care setting.

DBS check will be required and Avery covers the cost; eligibility to work in the UK must be shown. No prior experience is required as a thorough induction and training programme is provided, with opportunities to learn and develop within the role.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards residents and other people in the home.
• Be an efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions from other team members.
• Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care, contributing to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.
• Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
• Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents and elevate any identified risks in a timely manner.
• Practising safe systems of work across the range of tasks.
