Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Care Assistant to join Wimbledon Common Care Home in London. You will deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to a supportive care team to ensure continuity of services for residents.

No prior experience required as we offer a thorough induction and ongoing training. You will be part of a close-knit team that values respect, compassion and a patient-centred approach.

Qualifications

• Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards residents and staff.
• Be an efficient worker able to carry reasonable instructions from other team members.
• Be adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal hygiene ensuring independence, dignity and respect.
• Recognise clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and escalate risks in a timely manner.
• Act courteously towards residents and visitors, respecting their dignity and individuality.
• Practice safe systems of work across the range of tasks.
