Healthcare Ireland Group is looking for a dedicated Care Assistant to support our Longfield Care Home in Eglinton, near Derry. You will contribute to daily living activities, companionship, and person-centred care, ensuring residents feel respected, safe, and valued by a friendly team.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities, such as dressing, bathing, eating, and mobility.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, helping them maintain a good quality of life.
• Help residents maintain independence where possible, encouraging involvement in activities.
• Assist with moving and handling residents using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Support the nursing and healthcare team by monitoring residents' well-being and reporting any changes in their health or behaviour.
• Follow care plans tailored to individual residents' needs, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and homely environment for residents.
