Job summary

Avon Search is recruiting for a Care Assistant in Broadstone, Dorset. This full-time role offers day or night shifts within a welcoming, family-run residential home caring for 17 residents.

You will provide personal care, assist with daily living activities, support mobility, meals and wellbeing under clear care plans, while building meaningful relationships with residents and their families.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Care Assistant in a residential care setting is beneficial.
• Caring, patient and compassionate nature is essential.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are important.
• Ability to work well within a team.
• Respect for residents' privacy, dignity and independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support with daily living activities.
• Assist with washing, dressing, bathing and grooming.
• Support mobility and safe transfers.
• Assist with mealtimes and encourage good nutrition and hydration.
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families.
• Promote dignity, privacy and independence for residents.
• Support residents' emotional and social wellbeing.
• Follow care plans and report changes in residents' needs.
• Maintain accurate care records and health and safety procedures.
