Job summary

Avon Search in Whitehaven, Cumbria, is recruiting caring individuals to join a friendly team as Care Assistants at a local home.

This full-time role offers 36, 42 or 48 hours per week with 12-hour day or night shifts, full training and ongoing support.

The home delivers residential, nursing and dementia care for around 45–50 residents, with a welcoming £500 joining bonus and a pension scheme.

Qualifications

• Previous care experience is welcome but not essential.
• NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care is desirable but not required.
• Full training and ongoing support will be provided for the right candidates.

Responsibilities

• Provide kind, compassionate and person-centred support to residents.
• Assist with personal care, mobility, dressing and daily routines.
• Support with meals, hydration and wellbeing.
• Promote dignity, independence, choice and respect at all times.
• Encourage residents to take part in activities and social opportunities.
• Build positive relationships with residents and their families.
• Maintain accurate care records and work as part of a dedicated team.
