Job summary

Avon Search is recruiting a dedicated Care Assistant for a welcoming residential home in Broadstone, Dorset. You will support residents with daily living, promote independence and deliver compassionate, person-centred care.

The role is full-time with day or night shifts. The home offers a warm environment, with a strong emphasis on dignity and wellbeing, and values teamwork and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Care Assistant in a residential setting is preferred.
• Compassionate, patient and genuine approach to elder care.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with residents and families.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support with daily living activities.
• Assist with washing, dressing, bathing and grooming.
• Support mobility and safe transfers for residents.
• Assist with meals and encourage hydration and nutrition.
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families.
• Uphold dignity, privacy and independence of residents.
• Support emotional and social wellbeing of residents.
• Follow care plans and report changes in needs.
• Maintain accurate care records and health and safety procedures.
