Job summary

Brunswick House in Gloucester is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to join the team on a full-time basis (36 hours) with day shifts and alternate weekends.

You will support vulnerable adults with daily living activities, wash, dress, continence care, feeding, hydration, oral, hair, and nail care, plus emotional support and participation in community activities.

No formal qualifications required; English essential; training provided with potential progression to Senior Care Assistant.

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications required; Care Certificate or NVQ 2/3 beneficial
• Good level of English
• Warm & friendly personality
• A good communicator
• Able to use initiative
• Able to work in a team as well as on your own at times
• Reliable

Responsibilities

• Help service users with washing, dressing, continence care, feeding and hydration
• Provide oral, hair and nail care as needed
• Offer emotional support and stimulation; encourage participation in activities and community support
