Job summary

Helping Hands in Gloucester is seeking a Care Assistant to provide compassionate in-home support. The role requires a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, with training provided. You’ll help clients stay independent, safe and comfortable in their own homes, with care plans guiding personal care and daily tasks.

No prior care experience is required, and you’ll join a supportive team with opportunities to grow a meaningful career in care.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle is required.
• Right to Work in the UK is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, meaningful companionship to customers in their own homes.
• Support with personal care, including washing, bathing, dressing and toileting.
• Assist with mobility needs, helping customers stay safe and confident.
• Oversee and administer medication in line with care plans.
• Help with household tasks such as cleaning, cooking and meal preparation.
• Run essential errands, from food shopping to collecting prescriptions.
