Job summary

Augustinian Care is looking for a dedicated Care Assistant to join our friendly team and provide compassionate care to residents in our purpose-built homes near Burgess Hill. You will help residents maintain dignity and wellbeing in a supportive, community-focused setting.

You will implement each resident's person-centred care plan, recording observations such as weight, temperature, pulse, nutrition and fluid intake, while helping residents stay independent and engaged.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of undertaking personal care in either an employed or voluntary capacity.
• Experience of working with the elderly, or those with special needs.
• Previous experience of moving and positioning, or be prepared to attend training.
• All posts are subject to a clear enhanced criminal record check and satisfactory references.
• COVID-19 vaccination proof is required to work for the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Implement each resident's person-centred care plan by recording observations such as weight, temperature, pulse, blood pressure, nutrition and liquid intake.
• Assist residents to maintain dignity, independence and well-being through appropriate support and care.
• Attend to duties necessary to support residents and the care home team.
