Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking a care assistant to support a wheelchair user in Wednesfield. Responsibilities include personal care, transfers with a ceiling hoist, medication support, and domestic duties such as cooking and cleaning. The role requires flexibility and reliability.

Hours up to 30 per week, AM shifts from 7:00 to 09:45 and 13:00, with DBS checks and employment references required. Driving licence is desirable but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Previous Care Experience Essential.
• Moving and Handling Trained – Must be hoist trained.
• Medication trained.
• Clean driving licence Desirable.

Responsibilities

• Personal duties: assist with all personal care and transfers using a ceiling hoist; monitor skin integrity; support with medication.
• Domestic duties: laundry, ironing, deep cleaning, meals prepared to be pureed, fluids thickened due to choking risk.
• Social duties: provide social stimulation and support attendance at a Day Centre.
