Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking a part-time care assistant to support a middle-aged employer in East Park, Wolverhampton. Tasks include personal care, meal prep, shopping, and social activities, with DBS checks and references required. The role is 6 hours per week, 6:00pm–7:00pm Mon–Sun or 9:30am–10:30am weekends, and the rate is £14.20 per hour.

DBS checks and references are mandatory. Successful applicants will be employed through Local Authority funding and paid every four weeks.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driving licence.
• Car ownership and appropriate insurance.
• Confidentiality in handling personal information.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with employer and family.
• Preferred: good listener and patient communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living tasks (e.g., dressing, personal care) as needed.
• Support with meals: preparing and serving food and drinks.
• Assist with shopping and errands.
• Accompany employer to activities, appointments, gym, school drops/picks.
• Provide companionship and social support, attend events or visits.
• Escort to appointments (GP, hospital) and accompany to outings.
• Ensure safety when getting in/out of vehicles and in public spaces.
• Maintain confidentiality and respectful boundaries.
• Role may require occasional travel or working at alternative location.
