Job summary

Athena Care Homes (Ipswich) is seeking a caring and compassionate Care Assistant to provide high-quality care for residents at Avocet Court Care Home. The role supports meal times, activities, and daily living, with a focus on person-centred care.

Salary is £14.24 per hour, with a 12.1% holiday uplift, and a flexible shift pattern across Monday to Sunday. Training and progression opportunities are available, including NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care and funded apprenticeships.

Qualifications

• Care experience preferred; NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care supported but can be funded
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
• Genuine caring attitude and positive approach to residents

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality resident care in the home.
• Assist residents during meals and support activities.
• Participate in training and qualifications as required.
• Maintain accurate records and care plans as needed
