Job summary

Bluebird Care Cheltenham, Gloucester & Tewkesbury is hiring a Care Assistant to support clients at home, providing personal care and daily living assistance. The role emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care with independence and dignity for clients in their own homes.

You will work as part of a friendly team, receive full induction and ongoing expert training, and have access to flexible shift patterns and 24/7 support. DBS checks and references will be completed as part of recruitment.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Kind, compassionate attitude with a calm approach to care.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to follow care plans.
• Care experience is beneficial but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs
• Assist with personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Help with meal prepping, preparation and nutrition
• Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal
• Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and general cleaning
• Be a dependable friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for
