Civic Recruitment Limited is recruiting for an Ad-Hoc Shift Worker in Swindon to provide high-quality care to residents in a residential setting, following care plans and policies. The role requires a compassionate, person-centred approach to promote independence, dignity and wellbeing while maintaining safety and confidentiality.

We expect flexibility to cover days, nights, weekends and bank holidays, with training and supervision to ensure a consistent, high standard of care.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for older people.
• Experience working in residential care or similar environments.
• Understanding safeguarding responsibilities.
• Knowledge of person-centred care principles.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including days, nights and weekends.

Responsabilités

• Provide day-to-day care and support to residents in accordance with individual care plans.
• Assist residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, bathing and toileting.
• Support residents with eating, drinking and nutritional needs.
• Encourage and enable residents to maintain independence and daily living skills.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Monitor residents' wellbeing and report concerns to senior staff.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records and incident reports.
• Follow all care home policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Attend training, supervision sessions and team meetings.
• Work flexibly across shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
