Job summary

Connect2Swindon are recruiting Temporary Care Assistants to support Swindon Council Services at Firethorn. You will provide high-quality personal care, assist residents with daily living activities, and monitor wellbeing as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Care Assistant preferred.
• Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate and patient approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality personal care and support to residents, respecting their individual needs and preferences.
• Support residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility.
• Administer medication and maintain accurate care records in accordance with enhanced care standards.
• Promote a safe and clean environment by following health and safety policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure coordinated care.
• Encourage social interaction and engagement through activities and meaningful conversation.
• Report any changes in residents' health or behaviour to the nursing team promptly.
• Participate in regular training and development opportunities to maintain enhanced care skills.
