Job summary

East Street Care Home in South Molton (Devon) is looking for a compassionate Care Assistant to support residents through daily living activities, meals, and personal care. Shifts cover days, nights, or bank hours with 22, 33, or 44 per week, and team members work weekends on a rotation.

Qualifications

• Experience isn’t required, but a kind personality is.

• You’ll need good written/verbal communication and people skills.
• We like people who work well in a team.
• Flexibility is important. Team members work alternate weekends.
• Good IT skills, able to work with electronic devices and/or computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Organise and take part in social and recreational activities.
• Assist with residents’ personal care and mealtimes.
• Provide support to help residents maintain their independence.
• Get to know residents and their families to provide the best possible care.
• Maintain accurate records.
