Job summary

Pilgrims’ Friend Society is seeking Care Assistants for Villa Adastra, a 40-bed residential care home in Hassocks, West Sussex. You will join a dedicated team to provide compassionate, person-centred care 24/7, promoting residents’ dignity and independence.

The role requires empathy, teamwork and experience in dementia care. Full-time, permanent contract with 35 hours per week, day shifts. Flexible benefits and ongoing support are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in providing care and an understanding of dementia is essential.
• Ability to work as part of a team and be well-organised.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high quality, professional service of care to our residents.
• Help a resident with personal cleanliness such as helping a resident with a bath.
• Support residents to eat and drink.
• Get to know residents to comfort, assist and give reassurance when needed.
• Treat residents with dignity and respect.
• Support residents to stay independent and healthy and participate in home life.
