Job summary

Mapplewell Manor care home in Barnsley is recruiting a Care Assistant (Days) to join our team. This permanent role offers 39 hours per week at £13.79 per hour, with shifts on a rota including weekends.

You will provide personal and social care, support residents with dignity, and work within a supportive team that upholds MHA's values. You will act as a keyworker for residents, contribute to care plans (including dementia care), and maintain safety, infection control and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience in care settings desirable, but not required.
• Willingness to be trained (Level 1 or 2 in social care encouraged).
• Good communication and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as a keyworker for a group of residents and support admissions.
• Develop and review individual care plans, including dementia care.
• Provide personal and social care in line with care plans, promoting wellbeing.
• Uphold safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety practices.
