Job summary

Bridge House Residential Home is seeking 2 Care Assistants for dayshifts (8am–8pm), 3–4 days per week, on an alternating pattern. You will support safe, person-centred care, work with the management team, and help ensure residents’ physical, emotional, and social needs are met. This role does not offer visa sponsorship.

Key duties include care planning, documentation, and maintaining a warm, dignified environment where residents feel valued. Training and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in a care assistant role.
• Experience supporting care plans and documentation.
• Knowledge of CQC regulatory requirements and quality standards.
• Awareness of dementia care and related needs.
• Ability to liaise with families and professionals.
• Proactive approach to wellbeing initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of care staff during day shifts to deliver high standards of person-centred care.
• Contribute to care planning, risk assessments and daily documentation with accuracy.
• Provide hands-on personal care, emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Act as a point of contact for residents, families and visiting professionals.
• Monitor residents’ wellbeing and report changes promptly.
• Uphold safeguarding principles and report concerns immediately.
• Promote dignity, independence and meaningful engagement in daily routines.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in line with infection control.
