Job summary

CCH, Maidstone Complex SCP, is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to support a young gentleman in his teens with Autism, ADHD and related needs in Sheerness and the local community. You will provide person-centred care, including personal care, infection prevention, and consistent supervision to ensure his safety and wellbeing.

Shifts are bank for annual leave and sickness, Fridays 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm and Saturdays 10 am - 1 pm, with full training provided and DBS covered.

Qualifications

• Experience in complex care is essential for this position.
• Ability to read social cues of non-verbal clients is required.
• Knowledge of Autism or ADHD is needed.
• Ability to interpret body language or use PECS.
• Must show consistency and emotional resilience to build trust.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care including personal care and infection prevention.
• Offer supervision to ensure safety and wellbeing at home and in the community.
• Support in daily activities and enable meaningful engagement during shifts.
