Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group in Purley, Surrey, is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Care Assistant to join Purley Gardens Care Home team. You will deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to a supportive care environment for residents.

No prior experience is required as a thorough induction and training programme is offered. DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK will be required; the role is full-time with a pay rate of £12.50–£12.75 per hour and 144 total hours.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards the residents.
• Be an efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions from other team members.
• Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and elevate any identified risks in a timely manner.
• Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
• Practising safe systems of work across the range of task.
