Job summary

Pilgrims’ Friend Society in Bath is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to join Bridgemead Home, a 32-bed residential facility for older people by the river. You will work 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts (8am–8pm), providing person-centred care, assisting with daily living, promoting dignity and wellbeing, and building meaningful relationships with residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high quality, professional service of care to residents.
• Assist with personal care and daily living tasks.
• Support residents to eat and drink.
• Get to know residents to offer comfort and reassurance.
• Respect residents’ dignity and individuality.
• Assist with tidying, cleaning and other domestic tasks.
• Support end-of-life care as needed.
