Job summary

EMED Group in Aylesbury is seeking kind, reliable Ambulance Care Assistants to support patients of all ages on their journeys to and from medical facilities. The role is permanent and full time, with shifts between 05:00 and 01:00, including evenings and weekends.

Full UK manual driving licence and good physical fitness required; full training provided. You’ll join a team at EMED Group, the merged entity behind ERS Medical and E-Zec Medical, delivering patient transport and care services to NHS

Qualifications

Valid UK manual driving licence.
Commitment to patient care and empathy.
Ability to work flexible shifts and handle emotional situations.

Responsibilities

Transport patients to and from medical appointments and between healthcare facilities.
Build rapport and communicate effectively with patients and their relatives.
Assist with lifting, securing and helping patients in and out of the ambulance.
Hand over patients to appropriate staff on arrival at treatment centres or to family/friends at home.
Move patients between beds, stretchers and chairs in hospital and medical settings.
Keep the ambulance safe, clean and tidy.
