Job summary

Active Care Group is seeking a kind, reliable Female Support Worker to assist a wheelchair user living in a two-bedroom annexe in St Austell. You’ll join a consistent 2:1 care team, supporting daily living, transfers with a hoist, and social activities in the community.

The role offers flexible zero-hours shifts, with daytime and on-call patterns, and training provided. Applicants must have a full UK driving licence and be comfortable working in a home environment.

Qualifications

• Willing to undertake hoist training if needed.

Responsibilities

• Support one individual with complex needs as part of a consistent care team.
• Assist with transfers using a hoist and with daily personal care.
• Maintain regular weekly shifts and planned rotas.
• Engage in the client’s hobbies and community activities.
• Provide compassionate and sociable in-home and community care.
