A well-established business based in Mid-Antrim is looking to appoint aCompany Accountantto join its senior leadership team.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a broad and commercially focused role covering the full day-to-day finance function. You'll be responsible for ensuring robust financial controls are maintained while giving the wider management team clear and reliable insight into performance, profitability and cash flow.
We're looking for someone who has previous experience leading a small finance team and who enjoys being hands-on across the full spectrum of finance, rather than being limited to one particular area.

The Role
- Take ownership of stock, funding arrangements and working capital, with a particular focus on cash flow, stock ageing and overall financial exposure.
- Oversee finance-related compliance, working with the appointed representative to ensure relevant compliance and training requirements are met.
- Manage financial and manufacturer reporting, ensuring statistical information and composite accounts are accurate, reconciled and submitted within required deadlines.
- Deliver monthly management accounts, budgets and MI, providing senior leaders and departmental heads with useful information to support commercial decisions.
- Maintain effective financial controls across purchase and sales ledgers, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, inter-company balances, stock and WIP.
- Take responsibility for payroll and tax compliance, including VAT, PAYE and Corporation Tax, alongside year-end statutory requirements.
- Lead and develop the finance team, improving processes and controls while working with the wider business to highlight commercial opportunities, risks and areas for improved profitability.
About You
- Previous experience in a finance management or supervisory role.
- A strong commercial mindset and an understanding of how finance impacts profitability, cash generation and working capital.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- The confidence to work closely with senior leaders and operational teams across the business.
- Good experience using accounting systems and financial software.
- A proactive, practical approach and the ability to take responsibility for the finance function and make things happen.
