Job summary

The Glasgow Centre for Inclusive Living is seeking a Personal Assistant to support Sadia in her daily life at home in the Robroyston area. You will help with household tasks, cat care, accompany to appointments and outings, and provide companionship to support her independence.

This paid role offers 10.5 hours per week at £14.45 per hour. A full UK driving licence is essential and a vehicle will be provided on shift to support outings and errands.

Qualifications

• Friendly, chatty personality ideal for daily companionship.
• Reliable, dependable and honest approach to support.
• Ability to use initiative when needed and build genuine relationships.
• Willingness to support independence and learn about Sadia's needs.
• An understanding of stroke and neurological conditions is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Household tasks such as light cleaning, tidying and laundry.
• Supporting Sadia with caring for her cat.
• Supporting outings and attending appointments.
• Assisting with practical tasks around the house.
• Providing encouragement, companionship and a friendly face throughout the week.
• Settling Sadia into her new home and helping organise household items.
