Job summary

Direct Payment Employer is seeking a compassionate individual to support the employer with daily living tasks, companionship and social activities. You will help with practical tasks, accompany to appointments and assist with shopping while safeguarding the employer’s independence.

Responsibilities include enabling social interaction, maintaining safety, liaising with carers and professionals, and reporting concerns as required.

• Caring, patient and friendly.
• Responsible, reliable and honest.
• Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative.
• Has good local knowledge of the area where the employer lives.
• Good time-keeping and flexibility around working patterns and duties as determined by the employer’s requirements.
• Ability to keep simple records such as time recording.
• Good communicator able to talk to people on behalf of the employer when required.
• Able to develop long-term supportive and consistent relationships with employers.
• A full, clean driving licence and use of a car is likely to be required.
• Be prepared to have business use on your vehicle insurance to be able to use the vehicle within work hours.
• Be prepared to undergo training in order to best meet the employers need.
