Swanton Community Services is seeking a kind and proactive Support Worker to assist people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs in their community. You’ll help clients lead fulfilling lives, promote independence, and ensure safety and wellbeing, while using clear communication to respect individual preferences.
The role offers flexible and guaranteed hours, with ample training, staff discounts, mileage reimbursement, and opportunities for career progression.
Competenze
- Willingness to work towards Level 2 Diploma or above in Health & Social Care
- Good understanding of working with individuals with a learning disability and autism
- Commitment to providing quality care and support
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Encouraging service users to achieve personal goals and independence
- Provide support to ensure safety and wellbeing of people relying on services
- Communicate well with service users using preferred methods to support individuality
- Monitor and report changes in health or circumstances to management
