Brain Injury Support Worker (Flexible hours), Birkenhead

Location: Prenton, Birkenhead

Hours: 20-30 hours per week (flexible schedule in line with client needs)

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Brain Injury Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to our client, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

About the Client:

Our client is in his mid-30s who, despite brain and orthopaedic injuries, leads an active and social life. He is passionate about attending concerts, theatres, and various events. As a passionate Liverpool supporter, he enjoys going to home games and sharing these experiences. He loves animals and shares his home with his dog and tarantulas, so being comfortable with pets is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver personalized care and support to our client with complex health conditions.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
  • Administer medication and monitor health conditions.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client's condition.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably with brain injury and partially sighted clients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Energetic, upbeat, and empathetic nature.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work the specified hours.
  • Valid UK driver's license.
  • Supportive and friendly working environment.
