Job summary

Cheshire East Council’s Care4CE Wilmslow network is seeking a Permanent Grade 4 Community Support Worker. The role is 37 hours per week with pay of £13.26–£13.47 per hour, plus enhanced pay. Shifts include 7am-3pm and 3pm-10pm, with weekends and evenings as part of a flexible pattern.

The role involves providing person-centred support to tenants, helping with daily tasks, medications, and community access. A driving licence for fleet vehicle use is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred care and support.
  • Support with personal care, including washing, dressing, and dental hygiene.
  • Assist tenants with everyday household tasks such as cleaning, shopping, meal preparation, and managing finances.
  • Support with medication and accessing community services, including GP and hospital appointments.
  • Keep clear and accurate care records.
  • Support care planning and act as a key worker when required.
  • Help tenants stay connected with family, friends, and their local community.
  • Carry out domestic tasks and follow health and safety requirements.
  • Encourage independence and participation in social activities.

We are looking for:

1 x Permanent Grade 4 Community Support Worker

37 hours per week | £13.26-£13.47/hr + Enhanced Pay

You will have:
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and alternating weekends. (Shifts: 7am-3pm / 3pm-10pm)
  • Commitment to learning and development.
  • Valid licence to drive fleet vehicle for tenant support across the borough.
Desirable:
  • NVQ Level 2 in Social Care.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, safer handling, and first aid.
