This is an exciting opportunity to work one-to-one and in group settings, helping individuals overcome barriers and achieve their personal goals. Whether it’s exploring new hobbies, forming social connections, or accessing local activities, you’ll play a vital role in making it happen.

About the Role

This flexible support service enables individuals to use personal budgets or private funds to access tailored support. As a Facilitator, you’ll deliver compassionate, person-centred assistance to children, young people and adults, helping them participate in community life and enjoy greater independence.
You’ll work in a variety of settings — homes, public spaces, and events — ensuring individuals feel valued, included and empowered. A strong commitment to safeguarding is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver safe, respectful, and personalised support in line with individuals’ needs and goals.
Promote community engagement by connecting individuals with local groups, events, and activities.
Support social interaction, communication and access to education and leisure opportunities.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and support positive outcomes.
Keep accurate records and contribute to person-centred planning and reviews.
Assist with transport and mobility needs as required.
Attend mandatory training, contribute to team meetings, and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.
Support occasional wider organisational events and activities.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
Empathy and a genuine interest in supporting others.
Confidence in engaging with people from all walks of life.
Strong time management, organisation and reliability.
Friendly, flexible and professional approach.
Basic IT skills (email, Microsoft Word).
Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (funded by us).
Familiarity with the local area and ability to travel independently.

Desirable:
NVQ or similar qualification in health, care or support work.
Experience supporting individuals with disabilities, learning differences, or mental health needs.
Skills or hobbies you can share (e.g. gardening, crafts, games, sports).
Knowledge of person-centred planning or alternative communication methods (e.g. BSL, Makaton).
Background in teaching, training or therapy-related fields.

Why Join Us?

This is more than just a job — it’s an opportunity to be part of a passionate, values-led charity that believes in the power of inclusion and community. You’ll work with a supportive team, make a genuine difference, and enjoy a varied and rewarding role.
