Job summary

Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Generic Rehabilitation Technician to support stroke rehabilitation in patients' homes. The role involves visiting patients, assisting therapists with assessments and treatments, and managing your own caseload within set protocols.

The post requires travel around Cornwall, working in a multi-disciplinary team, and participating in a rotating schedule as the service expands. Experience in NHS settings and stroke care is preferred.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level III or BTEC National Diploma or equivalent qualification such as sports science / health related degree.
• Experience in an acute healthcare setting.
• Experience with elderly, injured/disabled people.
• Experience as a Therapy/Nursing assistant or rehab technician.
• Experience in NHS.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Stroke competencies completed.

Responsibilities

• Visit patients in their home to provide rehabilitation as directed by the team.
• Support therapists with assessment and treatment.
• Carry own patient caseload and monitor progress.
• Work in a rotating pattern across the county and countywide travel.
