Job summary

Wye Valley NHS Trust is seeking a Band 5 Community Staff Nurse for Kington, Weobley and Staunton. The role is part-time (27.5 hours per week) with rotations across the Kington area, based at Kington Medical Practice.

You will be part of a dedicated district nursing team, providing planned and unplanned care in patients' homes, with a focus on quality, compassion and teamwork. Registration with the NMC and community experience are required.

Qualifications

• NMC registered as a practising nurse.
• Experience in community nursing is essential.
• Strong communication skills and IT literacy are important.

Responsibilities

• Wound care including NPWT.
• Palliative care and end-of-life symptom management.
• Managing long-term conditions in community settings.
• CVAD and drain management.
• Chemotherapy disconnect where applicable.
• Holistic patient assessments.
• Post-operative care following discharge.
• Wound assessments and management.
• Collect venous blood samples.
