Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) invites applications for two Band 5 Community Staff Nurse positions in Renfrewshire HSCP. The roles involve delivering high-quality nursing care in patients' homes and community settings, supporting independence and health promotion.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with first-level Adult Nursing qualification and NMC registration
• Evidence of CPD, NMC revalidation and ongoing professional development
• Experience in community or primary care settings
• Strong IT, verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and lead when required
• Collaborative approach within multidisciplinary teams
• Knowledge of NMC Code and relevant legislation
• Ability to respond to emergencies and provide basic life support
• Commitment to continuous service improvement and governance

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate programmes of care for patients in community settings
• Provide skilled nursing interventions and support patients and carers to maintain independence
• Manage delegated caseloads and contribute to service improvement and audit

Education

First-level Adult Nursing qualification

CPD evidence

NMC Revalidation

Significant post-registration nursing experience

Community or primary care experience

IT skills (word processing, email, internet)

Excellent verbal and written communication

Independent working

Leadership and decision-making

Problem-solving ability

Multidisciplinary collaboration
