Job overview

An opportunity to join the Ulverston District Nurses as a registered nurse. The team is supportive and dedicated to delivering high-standard person-centred care to residents of Dalton and surrounding villages.

We seek an experienced, enthusiastic team player passionate about caring for people in their own homes. The role is 22.5 hours weekly over 3 days, including weekends, bank holidays, evenings, and potential nights, supporting the Furness out of hours team, operating 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be a registered Nurse in Community Services, providing evidence-based, holistic nursing care. Responsibilities include supporting the Team Leader, supervising staff, and delegating tasks based on skills. The Ulverston team comprises full and part-time nurses and a healthcare support worker, managed by the Assistant Team leads and supported by the Team Lead.

Working for our organisation

Our services are based at Furness General Hospital, Royal Lancaster Infirmary, Westmorland General Hospital, and various community healthcare premises, including Millom Hospital, Queen Victoria Hospital, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.

Furness General Hospital and RLI offer comprehensive hospital services, including Emergency Departments and specialist units. WGH provides general hospital services and an Urgent Treatment Centre. Community outreach services and diagnostics are also provided across Morecambe Bay.
