An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Outpatient Departments at the Furness General Hospital & Ulverston Community Health Centre for a Registered Nurse (Adult) for a 24-hour post. You must be highly motivated, demonstrate a dedication to high-quality care, and be willing to work flexibly to promote high standards and support us in improving patient experience and safety in Outpatients.
Training and support will be provided to aid your development.
The hours will be worked flexibly over six days, including some evenings and weekends. Previous experience in an outpatient or clinical setting is advantageous.
You will be able to: work as an effective team leader, demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills, deliver high-quality patient-focused care, be dedicated to improving clinical practice, and be committed to personal and staff development.
We operate from three main hospitals: Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, along with community health care premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
FGH and RLI offer a range of general hospital services, including Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units, and various consultant-led services.
WGH provides general hospital services and an Urgent Treatment Centre for non-life-threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three hospitals provide planned care, including outpatient services, diagnostics, therapies, day case, and inpatient surgery, along with outreach services across Morecambe Bay.
