Job summary

Derbyshire Community Health Services NHSFT in Swadlincote is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for a 12-month secondment in the Community Nursing Team. Flexible hours may be considered for the right candidate.

This is an exciting time to join one of the country’s largest NHS community providers. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised patient care at home, work with GP practices and home visiting colleagues, and support junior staff.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current PIN (RGN).
• Experience in community settings is essential.
• Recent relevant training must be evidenced.

We are seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join the Swadlincote Community Nursing Team on a 12-month secondment. Flexible hours and working patterns may be considered for the right candidate.

Main duties of the job

Our service deliver's evidence-based care that supports patients to remain in their own homes.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with general practice, therapy services and home visiting colleagues.

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised patient care, promoting self-care wherever possible while maintaining privacy, dignity and clinical effectiveness.

Provide guidance and support to junior staff in delivering high-quality care, while actively assisting the District Nurse/ Senior Community Nurses in managing the healthcare environment.

Due to the nature of the role, the post holder must be able to travel across a wide geographical area, often with equipment, and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes
