Job description

Are you a passionate and dedicated nurse looking to make a positive impact in your community in a role that fits around your life? Look no further! We are seeking a vibrant and compassionate Community Staff Nurse to join our dynamic out of hours team.

At Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust, we believe in providing exceptional care that goes beyond the ordinary, and we need someone like you to help us achieve that vision.

When you join us, we will work with you to develop your own personal developmental plan that supports your learning style. We provide training, clinical supervision, and access to a peer support network.

We also offer career progression opportunities that will allow you to develop your clinical, leadership, and preceptorship skills.

The Neighbourhood Night Service operates from 20:45 to 07:15, seven days per week.

We strongly recommend getting in touch to discuss the role further.

Main duties of the job

You will be a registered staff nurse with excellent assessment, planning, and evaluation skills to ensure that patient care is timely and appropriate.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include monitoring patients, administering medications, coordinating care plans, and providing support to families and carers overnight during crisis situations such as blocked catheters and palliative care support.

This is a fast-paced role requiring safe and effective clinical decision-making, so you must be able to think on your feet, problem-solve issues that arise overnight, and juggle conflicting priorities. You must be able to motivate others in challenging times and utilise available resources effectively.

Please see the attached document for the full Job Description.

You must hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle suitable for work purposes.

Please note that we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.
