Job summary

Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust in London offers a part-time Band 6 Specialist Speech and Language Therapist post based in the Brent area, Willesden Centre for Health and Care. The role is 22.5 hours per week with a permanent contract, salary £45,953 - £54,254 per annum incl HCAS.

You will deliver specialist domiciliary and outpatient SLT services to adults with acquired communication and swallowing impairments, working with community teams and local acute SLTs.

Qualifications

• Recognised SLT degree and HCPC registration.
• Experience with adult community SLT and dysphagia preferred.
• Experience in domiciliary/outpatient assessment and management.
• Commitment to service development and quality improvement (QI) projects).

Responsibilities

• Prioritise and manage a highly complex neurological caseload.
• Assess and treat adults with communication and/or swallowing impairments.
• Deliver evidence-based SLT interventions and evaluate outcomes.
• Lead on SLT triage for new referrals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in Brent and Willesden.
