Nottingham City Council is hiring Short Breaks Link Workers to support children and young people with disabilities in the community within the Nottingham City boundary. You will deliver person-centred sessions, foster independence and create meaningful activities, while also supporting families and carers.

The role requires DBS clearance, flexibility to work weekends and evenings, and the ability to complete regular paperwork using IT.

Qualifikationen

• Experience supporting children and young people in 1:1 settings.
• Ability to plan person-centred sessions with the child’s voice.
• Ability to work weekends and evenings as required.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection implications.
• Able to complete written records and use IT for documentation.

Aufgaben

• Provide 1:1 or small group support to children and young people with disabilities.
• Plan and deliver person-centred sessions to enable independence and community access.
• Support families and carers by facilitating activities and respite opportunities.
• Record-keeping and reporting to line managers in a timely manner.
• Work flexibly, including weekends/evenings, to meet service needs.
