Nottingham City Council is seeking dedicated Short Breaks Link Workers to support children and young people with disabilities within the Nottingham City area. This role offers flexible, annualised hours with a starting salary of £32,597 rising to £35,412 per annum (pro rata for part-time) and a schedule that includes weekends and some evenings.

Qualifikationen

• Experience of supporting children and young people in 1:1 settings.
• Proactive, can-do approach with creative session planning.
• Ability to work weekends and evenings.
• Ability to recognise signs of abuse and refer concerns promptly.
• Communication with non-verbal service users.

• Plan person-centred sessions to enable independence.
• Support young people in community activities and develop friendships.
• Provide 1:1 (and 2:1 where needed) support based on assessed needs.
• Maintain records and report progress using IT.
