Nottingham City Council invites applications for the Short Breaks Link Worker role. The post supports children and young people with disabilities to access their community, build friendships and independence, and help families gain time for themselves.

This permanent position is on annualised hours with weekend and some evenings, plus optional additional hours in school holidays. Salary ranges from £33,673 to £36,581 per annum (pro rata for part-time), with a generous pension and employee

Qualifikationen

• Knowledge and/or experience of supporting children and young people (ideally in similar roles)
• Ability to work weekends and evenings
• DBS enhanced check required and safeguarding awareness

Aufgaben

• Plan person-centred sessions with young people
• Support independence and social participation in the community
• Maintain written records and case notes
• Work with families and carers to enable breaks and respite
