Job summary

City of York Council invites applications for a Community Safety Operational Manager to lead delivery of York’s community safety priorities within the York Community Safety Hub, reporting to the Head of Community Safety.

You will work with partners from policing, health, housing, safeguarding and education to tackle complex safety challenges, with hybrid working and a focus on improving city centre safety, preventing anti-social behaviour and violence against women and girls.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational delivery across community safety themes including: Prevent and Counter-Terrorism, Serious Violence Duty, Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG), Hate Crime, Community Cohesion, City Centre Safety, and Anti-Social Behaviour and Crime Prevention.
